How to upload SVG?
How to Upload SVG Files to Cricut Design Space Via a Desktop Computer – The first step is opening the Cricut Design Space software on your computer. On the left hand navigation bar, you’ll see an icon at the very bottom titled ‘Upload’. Click on the ‘Upload’ option to start the procedure of uploading your SVG file. Once you click the ‘Upload’ icon, your screen will look like the screenshot below. You’ll see an ‘Upload Image’ button to click to upload your file.
Once you click the ‘Upload Image’ button, you have the option to drag and drop your file straight into the Cricut Design Space window, or you can click the ‘Browse’ button to locate the file on your computer.
When you locate the SVG file you want to upload, you may notice that the image has your web browser icon instead of a small preview of the SVG image. This is completely fine and won’t cause any issues, so don’t worry about it. Just select your file and click the ‘Open’ button as normal.
Once your file is open in the Cricut Design Space software, you can enter an image name and optional tags. I’d highly recommend taking the time to add a few descriptive tags to make organizing and filtering much easier when you have tons of images on there! Click the green ‘Upload’ button on the bottom right when you’ve entered in your image details.
Your file will then appear in the “Recent Uploads” section.
Simply click on your image to select it (a green highlight box will display around your selected image) and then click on the green “Add to Canvas” button on the bottom right of the screen.
Your SVG image will now be available and ready to be cut!
